Don't ya wanta? for real, this character's name IS Fanta and I know this is Korean manga (er, isn't it? I coulda sworn...) but I wanted an opportunity to incorporate my Japanese skills.
~Upper-left bubble: "Welcome!" (usually used when a customer enters a store, I believe)
~On her apron at the upper-left: "Personal" (no, that's really what it says! I used the form of Japanese to adjust a non-Japanese word into natural Japanese sounds. I hope I did it properly...)
~Upper-right: "Okay!" (again, same as the apron)
~Lower-right: "M...Me too." (I know this isn't what she was saying in the scene, but the way I captured her position made me see her more like she was being tender, like being open with a guy she likes or something)
~Middle: Okay, no Japanese, but I think I made her look older and more mature.
If I butchered some words to make them sound like bizzaro Engrish, GOMEN!! I'm simply an ichinensei, so I haven't learned how to do it yet. (I still dunno how to say my mom's name in Japanese. Like, it's "donna", but would I do the characters for "do" and "na", or would I do a small tsu to compensate for the double "n" or what?? agh!)
edit: ahem... yeah, I only made one shot of her with black hair... I didn't wanna color in so much black! :-p But I hope this kinda glitch isn't too bad.
Double edit: Gah!! "Faeries Landing" and the character "Fanta" aren't mine (or anything having to do with the name she had on her apron) but are all property of the author of Faeries Landing.... aaaand I can't find the person's name.
It's good enough if you admit the things weren't your original ideas, right? Mine come out looking kinda different, but ya gotta give props to who ya copy from.
